Cesarean Awareness Month

Cesarean Awareness Month

A Cesarean section, also called a C-section, is a surgery used to deliver baby. In this procedure, an incision is made in the mother's abdomen to deliver one or more babies. Most C-section's are performed when unexpected problems occur during delivery. Some examples of problems include:

  • Having twins, triplets, or more.
  • Health problems with the baby
  • Health problems with the mother
  • Labor is too slow or stops.
